I have had a couple of nice days off. The temperature here in vegas has been right around the 110 degree mark. Outdoor pools are too warm and one of our local stations was broadcasting as a 300lb block of ice was dumped into an outdoor pool.

On the gambling front I headed to the casino with every intention of playing a poker tournament on monday. When I got there I found out they had a special tourney going on so I was not able to get in. I went right to the machines and did I get lucky. I was playing quarter video poker and hit 7 four of a kinds on one machine and cashed out $900.00 on my $100.00 investment. When I left the casino I was up $760.00 a very nice day.

Tuesday I played in a tournament at another casino and made final table with a decent chip stack (15,000) Unfortunately all the small stacks were winning there all in bets from all of us with the big stacks. I took a couple of bad beats when they sucked out on the river. My stack was dwindling and the blinds and antes were going up. I finally went out in 8th place after much aggravation. Only the top five paid so no money on this trip to the tables.
